Which birds can a company remove?
Pigeons, house sparrows and European starlings are not protected by the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Most other wild birds and their nests are protected.
What does bird control look like?
Spikes, netting, wire and sealed openings that stop birds from roosting or nesting. Cleanup of droppings is often a separate job.
Why remove bird droppings fast?
Built up droppings can damage roofs and signs and can carry disease. Pros use masks and gear for large cleanups.
Does a bird control company need a license in Oregon?
Yes. Oregon licenses or certifies anyone who applies pesticides on someone else’s property for pay, through its state pesticide regulator, most often the department of agriculture. Ask for the license number before work starts.
